  • 2019-2022, Timothy Anderson, My primary instructor during my time at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. During this time, I was spending a lot of time returning to the fundamentals from my injury. In the time spent we were able to get me back in form and then some.
  • 2016, Dan Watt, My primary instructor during my final year at the University of Wyoming. We spent a lot of time preparing for the concerto competition as well as auditions and my recital. This involved much research as well as speaking preparation on topics relating to the music.
  • 2012-2016, Mark Soueidi, My primary instructor during my time at the University of Wyoming. We worked through fundamentals of trombone as well as musicality. We also discussed history and how it related to the performance of each piece, and also the adjustments that were made over the years for the trombone itself. We also practiced speaking for performances.
  • 2015, Craig Mulcahy Masterclass, One on One lessons in a lecture format. In this, I was able to experience the pressure of not only performing for one of the professional musicians in my field, but also in front of an audience at the same time. This helped prepare me for dealing with various sources of stress.
  • 2014, American Brass Masterclass, Worked with the members of the American Brass Quintet on how to collaborate with four other musicians effectively. This also helped develop my own talent with music.
