Providing free or low-cost consultations/exams to help clients and loved ones mitigate common pet ownership issues, as well as direct them to appropriate products, vet clinics, or specialized trainers as needed. I started offering these services with the intent to get pets into vet offices and trainers as soon as issues arise, to continue to provide help in the veterinary field, to reduce rehoming of pets with behavioral issues, and to empower pet owners with knowledge.

• Answer common veterinary inquiries and push for clients to schedule appointments with their veterinarian or refer clients to emergency clinics as needed.
• Provide strategies for pet owners to manage separation anxiety in their pets and to improve pet confidence. Referred to trainers or veterinarian if not improved.
• Facilitated socialization sessions for pets to improve behavior and reduce anxiety around other animals.
• Instructed pet owners on effective crate training methods to create a safe space for their pets.
• Basics of puppy training (R+)
• Assessed OTC Kibble diets for clients and advised which formulations best suited their pets' needs.
• Encouraged clients to seek out prescription diets from their veterinarian to address issues such as FIC/FLUTD and IBD.
• Educated clients about common pet allergies and provided management strategies to enhance their pets' quality of life. Referred owners to Veterinary dermatologists.
• Implemented plans to facilitate weight loss in overweight and obese pets. Refered clients for additional testing if a medical cause is suspected.

I affect patient care on a day-to-day basis both directly and indirectly through management of STAT medications, continuous drip compounding, narcotic and pyxis management.

• Ensured adherence to FDA, DEA, OSHA, CSA, OBRA, and USP 800 regulations to maintain safety and compliance standards.
• Managed medication orders, rapid intubation kits, and crash cart maintenance.
• Executed clerical tasks while collaborating with doctors and nurses to ensure seamless operations.
• Managed Pyxis medication systems by optimizing inventory, refilling, loading, and performing repairs to ensure medication availability.
• Sterile IV drug compounding through EPIC, CATO/BD PIP, and Equishield.
• Oral solution and topical compounding through solesource.

• General and emergent examination and assessment of Cats, dogs, horses, and exotic mammals. Assistance in diagnosing both medical and behavioral health issues Counseling clients on ailments, pet care, separation anxiety, socialization, basic training, and much more.
• Monitored anesthesia, assisted in surgeries, and performed prophylactic dental cleanings while utilizing radiology techniques for horses, dogs, cats, and exotic mammals.
• Preparing diagnostic tests, collecting samples from patients, and running or sending out obtained samples. I work with many diagnostic tests such as: T4 (thyroid assessment), gram/differential stain, ear wax microscopic examination, intestinal parasite examination, ELISA tests, complete blood cell count, internal organ screen, electrolyte balance, Bile Acids/ACTH Stem test, urinalysis, and much more.
• Managed and entered medical records, lab work, and hospital maintenance; contributed to client education and service, scheduled appointments, checked clients in/out, and trained new employees.
