Patient, approachable, and highly adaptable worker with a passion for helping animals and people. Diverse knowledge in pharmaceuticals, IV compounding, veterinary medicine, animal nutrition, animal behavior/modification training, and infectious diseases of both humans and animals. 18+ years of experience in client service, communication, and patient/client counseling in both the veterinary and medical/pharmacy field.
Providing free or low-cost consultations/exams to help clients and loved ones mitigate common pet ownership issues, as well as direct them to appropriate products, vet clinics, or specialized trainers as needed. I started offering these services with the intent to get pets into vet offices and trainers as soon as issues arise, to continue to provide help in the veterinary field, to reduce rehoming of pets with behavioral issues, and to empower pet owners with knowledge.
I affect patient care on a day-to-day basis both directly and indirectly through management of STAT medications, continuous drip compounding, narcotic and pyxis management.
Seeking a position in animal behavior or animal nutrition. Currently considering applying for the KPA certification and CBCC-KA once enough hours are accrued.
