Ben Wilson

I have spent the last four years as a Civics, US History and World History teacher at Greenup County and Russell High Schools. In my time as an educator gained valuable experience in the following:

• Planned, designed, implemented and assessed a growing inquiry driven curriculum that allows students to be a main driving force of their own education
• Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills while managing multiple projects
• Collaborated with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary lesson plans that connected social studies content to other subject areas.
• Worked with staff members and teachers to design comprehensive and individualized plans to optimize student education.
• Provided one-on-one support for students with learning disabilities, enabling them to excel in their coursework.
• Helped students develop important learning skills and good study habits useful in trade school or college education.

• Communicated frequently with parents, students, and faculty to provide feedback and discuss instructional strategies.
