I feel that my proven experience as not only a specialist but leader within the JAG KY Organization, has equipped me to be an asset to the program in a management role. My passion for the program, its staff and most importantly the students who benefit from the success' has also given me a drive to want to see the program grow and impact as many young people as possible. I fully understand that in order to reach this, we have to be clear headed, budget minded, effective data managers, mentors and growth seekers that each play a vital role in the area needed.
Develop and maintain positive work relationships with peers in my specialized area. I help coach and mentor those within my PLC to ensure that they have the tools needed in order to build a successful JAG program. Tools ranging from lesson plan development, ways to build a better culture in the classroom, how to efficiently record and maintain data requirements necessary for billing and keeping them informed of any program changes.
Currently working in the JAG classroom daily one on one with students in an array of curriculum activities ranging from but not limited to job attainment skills, leadership development and effective teamwork. Also, building relationships with area industry leaders and professionals is a vital part of my role as well in order to assist students with career exploration, paid internships and contacts after highschool. Along with these things and most importantly mentoring students, I also am responsible for recording and managing daily program data, graduate followup monthly, lesson plan development and maintaining records in infinite campus.
In this role I was responsible for ensuring all documentation required by funding sources were provided by each Specialist for their respected program. I ensured forms including but not limited to federal programs, medicaid services and enrollment where complete and submitted in a timely manner. I also ensured that each program provided timely and efficient monthly data required to request billing for services being rendered. I met regularly with each specialist within the classroom setting to provide guidance and mentoring for best practice when teaching th JAG Curriculum. Along with this I also built relationships and met with school administration and superintendents to act as a go between for JAG KY Leadership and each particular program.
WIth OVR I met with clients to evaluate and develop Individual Plans for Employment for individuals with impediments to employment. I maintained monthly meeting with each individual within my case load, provided them with tools for evaluation and then pending approval tools to ensure they could be productive and successful in a work environment. Monthly data/notes were maintained for each appointment and also required billing information required for services rendered was maintained.
Worked in both investigative and ongoing departments within child protective services. Ensured monthly visits were maintained and all caregiver documentation was up to date. I assisted parents with developing a case plan for reunification and most importantly ensuring the children were safe at all times. I attended court proceedings weekly on behalf of DCBS and ensured all case plans and monthly visits were documented and submitted monthly.
