I worked as a Library Page, shelving, organizing, and helping patrons find materials for my first 2 years at the Henderson County Public Library. I was then moved up and given the title of Library Assistant. I still do the same things as an assistant, but I am more involved with the public now and have more opportunities to help those in need. As a Library Assistant, I mainly check in and out books, help patrons with faxes and copies, locate books or DVDs, shelve materials, and guide patrons. I also occasionally help set up events and clean up.
