Electrical Sales Representative

Rexel USA
Madisonville
09.2017 - 10.2020
  • My past electrical background helped me make tremendous gains in this role as well as better understand customer needs and expectations since I also have previous experience in the field.
  • I enjoyed the customer/vendor interaction required to not only fulfill the customers needs and requests, but also the business aspect required to make certain all parties reach a satisfactory solution.
  • My role included understanding the technical problem(s) and or project which needed to be resolved and then determining the correct part(s) needed as well as pricing, quoting, procuring, and making certain the materials needed in order to fulfill those needs for each job arrived on schedule regardless of how large or small the customers job scale requirements.

Maintenance Supervisor/ Facility Manager

ABM Government Services
Madisonville
04.2012 - 04.2017
  • As Facility Manager my main role for the first year in this position was to not only perform preventative maintenance but also find any and all defects located within the brand new state of the art 70,000 sq/ft Commercial Facility.
  • I found multiple large issues such as indoor sagging sewer lines which had to be jackhammered up and repaired at contractors expense. Proving these problems were pre-existing and avoidable was no easy task considering it meant the original contractor(s) were obligated to correct at their expense. This meant I had to be very meticulous on documenting any and all possible proof of incorrect installation, missing equipment, etc.
  • Being only 25 years old at the time I quickly learned how to compose myself while also containing the confidence, knowledge and control necessary to fulfill my duties of ensuring all issues were properly resolved. This sometimes meant being one step ahead by validating problematic issues either via keeping detailed data logs or in more extreme cases even video evidence as proof of improper equipment, installation, function, etc.
  • After waiting several months I was finally given the finalized building blueprints which made it significantly easier to correct these issues without debate.
  • During my 5 years overseeing this facility I was tasked with Troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining all building systems including but not limited to: 70+ geothermal HVAC heat pumps, Plumbing, Electrical, Security Systems, as well as regular grounds keeping throughout facility.
  • Regularly followed blueprints and schematics to locate and make necessary all systems operated at optimum performance.
  • Made any and all necessary repairs as well as established contracts and managed all necessary outside vendor services such as elevator maintenance, sprinkler system testing, fire extinguisher certifications, pest control, etc.
  • As the Facility Manager I was also tasked with supervising the janitorial crew. This included procuring all necessary cleaning supplies as well as ensuring the proper chemical storage per OSHA guidelines and carrying out all monthly and necessary safety meetings to the crew.

HVAC Service Technician (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Service Technician)

E&M Heating and Cooling
Sebree
09.2010 - 02.2012
  • As a mobile HVAC Journeyman technician I Utilized my known skills to troubleshoot and diagnose faulty equipment on both residential as well as commercial HVAC systems.
  • Replaced defective parts and equipment and then tested equipment after repair to insure proper functionality.
  • After repair I would then Inspect and test the rest of the system in order to locate any other weak spots or faulty equipment in order to minimize future failure if preventable.
  • Recorded and logged all system data gathered including any faults found as well as time and materials used for billing as well as future service records.
