  • Patient Care:

Provides a clear focus for clinical leadership and takes responsibility for ensuring the provision of a high standard of holistic, patient-centered care in all nursing departments by leading, coordinating and supervising nursing practice.   • Human Resource Management:

  • Financial Resource Management:

Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals. Evaluate, select, and implement systems which improve efficiency of night work operations. Control, monitor, and analyze pharmaceutical and surgical stock held in the nursing departments. Make recommendations for changes in stocks used in the department. Oversees Inventory management in all departments to ensure the correctness of items from Medical and Surgical Store and Liaise with the Billing team prior to patient discharge from units for out of hours discharges.

  • Customer Relations Management including External and Internal Stakeholders:

Maintains patient relations by facilitating open channel of communication with patients, their families, other departments, physicians, and ancillary personnel resolving patient and visitor complaints and/or channeling them to appropriate department for solution. Assumes accountability for customer satisfaction, process indicators, quality improvement plans and outcomes in work unit.
