As a young and passionate Caymanian currently enrolled in the Dual Enrollment program at UCCI, I am eager to expand my academic and professional experience through an internship with the National Drug Council (NDC). This opportunity resonates deeply with my personal values and goals, particularly in contributing to the well-being of our community through education, prevention, and advocacy. I have always been someone who thrives in learning environments, and I bring a strong sense of energy, respect, and curiosity to everything I do. My academic journey so far has not only built my foundation in critical thinking and communication, but it has also inspired me to become more involved in initiatives that address important social issues, such as substance abuse prevention. I believe the NDC plays a vital role in fostering healthier lifestyles and choices within our islands, and I would be proud to support its mission in any capacity. Through this internship, I hope to gain hands-on experience in delivering public awareness campaigns, supporting the development of outreach materials, and participating in research and data collection efforts. I am particularly interested in assisting with community engagement events and school-based programs, as I enjoy interacting with people and learning from diverse perspectives. My strong attention to detail, good verbal and written communication skills, and natural respect for others make me a dependable team member and an enthusiastic learner. I see this internship not only as a stepping stone for personal and professional growth, but also as an opportunity to give back to the community that has shaped who I am. I am excited about the prospect of working with experienced mentors, contributing meaningfully to NDC initiatives, and becoming part of a team dedicated to positive change. Thank you for considering my application.
