  • While serving with AmeriCorps, I was sent on a disaster deployment to Asheville, North Carolina, to respond to hurricane Helene. I was able to make my way up the ladder while on deployment, and was promoted to the food supervisor for the entire shelter. My duties included-
  • Serving 150 shelter residents 3 times a day
  • Keeping inventory of everything in the kitchen
  • Ordering fulfillment orders from HQ daily, to keep the stock of the kitchen full
  • Managed volunteers as they would come in to help
