  • In the three years at Bronco, I was able to change the culture and was able to create a great working environment that created increasing solid EBITDA performance for year over year. I was able to increase our production to the current levels. We produced 1.062 million tons in 2024.
  • In the process of selling the operation. The mine is ready to perform good returns for the next 15-18 years.
  • Oversaw financial planning and budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with the company goals.
  • Established KPI's to monitor progress and drive accountability within our production sections.
  • Established specific production goals that was associated with a bonus program.

  • Oversaw daily operations, ensuring compliance with safety, compliance, and production standards. This mine had one longwall and five development sections. Employed around 530 employees. The last three years that I was there as Superintendent, we produced plus 5 million tons each year which was the best that Buchanan had done for 3 consecutive years since they started mining in 1983.
  • Developed and implemented maintenance schedules to enhance mine efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Coordinated project timelines and resources, maintaining alignment with the mines goals and budgets.
  • Led cross-functional departments to improve operational workflows, resulting in streamlined processes and increased productivity. This was very important during longwall moves.
  • Trained and mentored staff on best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • I pushed and developed several continuous improvements projects at this mine.
  • Conducted regular inspections of the sections, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective action plans.
  • Reviewed plans and inspected ongoing construction projects to keep work in line with project goals. We began development in the South area of the mine for a second longwall operation.
  • Monitored budgets and expenditures to maintain fiscal responsibility.

  • I have held numerous positions with Consol Energy. I was a Superintendent at the Miller Creek Mine in Williamson, WVA and a Superintendent at the Amonate Operation in Amonate, VA. I was an Assistant Superintendent at Buchanan #1 Mine. I held several positions within the Consol of Ky. Operations from plant foreman, Chief Engineer, Project Engineer, and Assistant Superintendent. I started working summers in 1987 through 1989. Graduated from the University of Ky in May of 1990 and started work immediately at Consol of Ky.
  • I was Superintendent for about 5 years and Assistant Superintendent for about 3 years.
  • I feel that Consol gave me an excellent foundation for my career that I have had.
