Summary

Insightful manager with several years of experience in the five basic methods of nondestructive inspections with the intent to secure a new position utilizing my NDT history. Those years have been served in the aviation industry under the provisions of NAS410. During this time I have maintained level 2 and level 3 certifications, and a 7 level USAF certification. I'm also a certified weld inspector through the AWS as well as a level 3 NDT through the ASNT. I'm known for adaptability and consistently meeting changing organizational needs.

  • Managed NDT qualifications and certifications under the NAS 410 aerospace standard
  • Inspected titanium weldments by means of penetrant, digital X-ray equipment, c-scan ultrasound, borescope, and visual inspection methods
  • Performed and documented daily process controls on NDI equipment and procedures as well as inspection results of welded assemblies
  • Carried out the duties of a certified weld inspector for guidance and advice to the weld operators

  • I have recently retired from the USAF National Guard to which I performed maintenance on the C-130 airframe and managed overall maintenance of assigned aircraft
  • Duties included pre-and post-flight inspections, phase-doc inspections, removal and replacing damaged or worn aircraft structures
  • Cross-trained into the nondestructive testing field becoming certified using methods such as Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic, Eddy Current, and Radiography
  • I am a certified weld inspector through the USAF, and work in accordance with the NAS 410 guidelines
  • Sixteen years of my USAF career is in the nondestructive testing (NDI) field
