I started in the printing industry in 1996, and I've worn many hats since then. I feel my versatility and attention to detail sets me apart from most. I am as comfortable in an office setting as I am on the production floor. I've handled finished product, ran printing presses, driven forktrucks, and maintained/fixed equipment, among a myriad of other responsibilities throughout my career.
Managed the day-to-day operations of multiple printing presses, including scheduling, crewing, and coordinating with other departments to ensure quality work delivered to the bindery on time.
Responsible for troubleshooting problems with leadership and press crews, and mentoring crews to help them grow in their roles and responsibilities.
Similar role as current, ran day-to-day operations as second shift press supervisor.
Helped with transition from Pulbisher's Printing Company to LSC Communications following the Simon family's decision to sell the business.
From 1998 to 2017, worked way up from entry level material handler position to rolltender to assistant press operator to head press operator, and finally, pressroom manager.
After 12 years in the industry, asked to 'float' and learn other presses and types of machinery, with the end goal to move up within the company and make myself versatile and valuable.
In addition to learning other types of machinery, I spent time in other departments learning more about the printing business from top to bottom, start to end.
