- Maintains working knowledge of current environmental standards and regulations
- Works with project engineers on projects leading to environmental protection, such as water reclamation facilities, air pollution control systems, and operations that convert waste to energy
- Responsible for annual hazmat and DOT, RCRA, SPCC and Groundwater, emergency action procedures, emergency response procedures, and hazard communication procedures
- Responsible for waste water, air quality and waste monitoring and reporting
- Responsible for managing hazardous and non-hazardous waste containment, labeling, storage, disposal, and recording
- Responsible for EPA compliance and reporting (i.e. Tier II, Form R, etc)

- Maintains working knowledge of current health and safety standards and regulations
- Monitor EHS/WW metrics through incident reporting system (Near Misses, Mobile
Equipment Accidents, First Aid Incidents, OSHA Recordable Injuries, Spill Incidents, Fire
Incidents, Safety Dashboard and Environmental Dashboard)
- Partner with Engineers to investigate injuries/illnesses, spills, fires, WW upset
conditions, first aids and near misses, etc.
- Assist Engineers with reduction in EHS/WW incident rates and cost (i.e. impact of spills,
WW upset conditions, injuries, etc)
- Assist with “Gemba Walks” for EHS department to identify hazards in the workplace,
unsafe operation, and non-compliance with EHS rules and regulations.
- Continue to help build and sustain a proactive safety culture. Help create an
environment where employees and front line leadership are engaged in working safely.
- Recommend corrective/preventative measures to improve EHS/WW performance and
prevent incidents
- Assist in coordination of industrial hygiene testing
- Assist with the direction and coordination of emergency response drills
- Analyze with Engineer(s) and assist, as needed, to update EHS policies, procedures and
plans in accordance with government and company guidelines
- Creation and update of EHS/WW SOPs, Work Instructions, and other training
documents, as needed.
- Coordinates SDS reviews and helps ensure the SDS database is up to date.
- Perform ISO 14001 internal audits
- Supports operation of WWTB and outside WW System, including troubleshooting and
corrective action suggestions.
- Support PMs of WWTB and outside WW System
- Performs other functions as required
