Summary

I have been developing software since 2010 while attending university, and began doing it professionally in 2013 after graduating. I have always strived to improve and stay up to date with the latest and most effective technologies. I am a fast learner, and my optimism and skills have allowed me to master every stage of the software development process—enabling me to lead development teams and take ownership of applications from analysis to testing.

I’m known for my good sense of humor and for being a reliable source of support for my teammates. I’m also someone who constantly looks for ways to optimize processes and explore new approaches and technical solutions.

Work History

End User Development Project Supervisor

UPS
Louisville

  • Employed as a full-stack developer, I work on developing microservices using ASP.NET that are consumed by frontend applications built with Angular 18. These applications make up the internal platform that manages UPS's business processes. As the lead developer, I am responsible for requirements gathering, UI/UX design in Figma, and end-to-end development of the services, including the implementation and management of logic in SQL Server and subsequent deployment to Azure. These services were migrated from an earlier version of Angular 12 to version 18 and have been enhanced with the implementation of Hangfire, Quartz, Ocelot, and integration with SendGrid for email delivery.

  • Hired as a full-stack developer to build the Great Place to Work HUB at UKG, I worked on the backend using Kotlin while developing the frontend application with Angular. This monolithic application consumed data from MongoDB and was connected to other services within the ServiceNow platform. Integrated with services such as Kafka and PubSub, it replicated its data across multiple instances of itself in different locations for other tenants globally, while also sending and consuming services similarly deployed on Google Cloud.

  • I started as a full-stack developer at this software factory, building applications with ASP.NET and Angular for various business models, including betting houses, restaurant reservations, auto repair shops, human resource management, and healthcare companies such as Cerapedics in the USA. I developed applications with monolithic APIs and also worked on migrating existing ones to microservices. I was responsible for the development of many of these projects until I eventually took on a leadership role, managing a development team and overseeing up to six projects simultaneously.
  • I met with clients to define requirements, designed the UI/UX in Figma, and defined the application architecture. I also collaborated on budget estimation, created task boards for the team, and managed CI/CD and deployment processes on AWS or Azure. I integrated these applications with third-party APIs and payment gateways, as well as messaging, email, and GPS services.
  • I implemented background task solutions using RabbitMQ, GCP PubSub, Quartz, and Hangfire, and used Redis cache for some applications. While these apps were primarily consumed in web environments, some were later adapted into PWAs (Progressive Web Apps) to be used on mobile devices as well.

Senior Software Engineer

Information Technology and Automation Company
Sancti Spiritus
09.2013 - 05.2022
  • I started developing desktop applications with .NET and later transitioned to full-stack development by building web applications using ASP.NET and Angular. These services were connected to SCADA servers that operate the national electrical grid, transmitting real-time data to support decision-making within the operations network of the National Electric Union. On the frontend, we used DevExpress, Bootstrap, and both UI Material and Angular Material in some projects. We built WebSocket connections to ensure real-time data flow, and used SQL Server as the database engine, including the implementation of SQL Dependency for reactive data updates.
