Work History

Concrete Finisher

Whitis Custom Concrete
01.2015 - Current
  • Starting at a young age, due to my family owning a concrete business, I have acquired the skills of a very proficient concrete finisher. My skills include prepping, pouring, finishing, and maintaining concrete work of any kind. Setting forms, screeding for grade, driving a skid steer, stamping and staining are just a few of the skills I have acquired over the last 9 years. I am trained in using power operated vibrators and use them on most every job. I am also able to determine grade and can use a transit. My family's business specializes in decorative concrete, mainly flat work, stamped jobs. I also have experience in surface grinding and overlay processes for concrete.

Intern

HDR Engineering, Inc.
05.2025 - 08.2025
  • I worked at HDR Engineering for my third internship. In this internship, I worked in the lab area, as well as with the inspection crew. I was tasked with looking at and testing different soil samples for different ongoing jobs at the time. I also got certified in KYTC elastic modulus testing for the state of Kentucky. Another part of this internship allowed me to support site inspections for the many different bridge projects that were ongoing in the region. During this internship, I built my communication skills, learned how to evaluate a task, and tried to solve problems that arose on the job.

Intern

Morsey Costructors
05.2023 - 08.2023
  • Morsey Constructors was the second internship that I had. This expanded my skills in communication and working in a team environment. I was involved in an ongoing project at Arkema . This job increased my skills in working with Excel. I also had to go to the job site and consult with the team members and understand what was going on the field as well. While in the field I had to gather data, analyze it, and make changes to the project if needed. This internship also provided me with some Project Management skills. I looked at scopes of work and how to make a budget work for a job. I also dealt with clients and had to make phone calls to order parts and equipment for certain jobs.

Intern

Industrial Floors and Coatings - IFC
08.2021 - 02.2022
  • I was employed with IFC for my first internship. This job included working with customers that needed floor coatings as well as working with engineers using the materials that specialized in coating bridges that needed to be resurfaced. This job included taking bids from clients, inspecting the job, making out a scope of work and moving equipment to the job. I had to use personal skills to talk to customers and make sure that their needs were met and satisfied. I had to work in the yard with some of the crew and set up the "bridge trailer" which they would haul to and from the job site to complete the work that we had bid previously. This job taught me many skills and helped me work on my communication skills
