Present duties at Kenvirons include carrying out and managing engineering related projects. Primary activities include landfill development and closures for several facilities encompassing permitting, design, cost analyses, construction contract bids/specifications, and construction monitoring and documentation. Further duties include utilizing computer modeling for mapping, design, grading/modeling, and drainage plans. Geographic Information Systems are also utilized for coordinate systems mapping and site assessments. Solid waste experience includes daily operations, permitting, design, and construction monitoring for geosynthetic liner systems, soil liners, earthen embankments and soil caps.
Additional engineering experience includes project administration, quality control and construction oversight, project scheduling and budgeting, geotechnical instrumentation design, data collection from facility instrumentation (slope inclinometers, piezometers and settlement plates), groundwater monitoring well design/modifications and abandonments, slope stability observations, sediment pond dredging observations, soils field and laboratory testing, concrete field and laboratory testing, and asphalt density testing.
Brewski's is a bar in downtown Fayetteville/AR just a few blocks from the University of Arkansas. They have 71 beers on tap, over 200 different varieties of beer, and a full bar. My primary responsibilities, besides tending bar, involved weekly ordering of beer, wine, liquor, mixers, dry goods, and cleaning supplies. I was also heavily involved in coordinating events such as the Annual Crawfish Boil, Chili Cook-off, Halloween Party, Game Nights, live music, and the Bikes, Blues & BBQ motorcycle rally. In addition to these responsibilities, I also coordinated with other bars, restaurants, and businesses in the area for combined promotions and events to benefit downtown businesses and bring people together.
U.S. Pizza Company is a small family owned pizza restaurant based out of Little Rock, AR. My duties involved scheduling and managing staff, ordering food and alcohol, managing costs, and coordinating events.
Cafe Rue Orleans is a small family owned Cajun restaurant in Fayetteville, AR. I was hired as an assistant chef, but I was also involved in food service and bartending.
Lake Powell in Southern Utah/Northern Arizona is part of the Glen Canyon National Recreational Area. My responsibilities there involved training guests on how to operate and pilot the houseboats. When guests felt uncomfortable driving the larger (100-foot plus) boats, I would assist them and pilot their boat to their desired location on the lake or back to the marina. I was also responsible for instructing the guests on how to operate the generators, air conditioners, jet-ski winches, and all other features on the boats. In the event of bad weather, I was responsible for checking on guests and ensuring their safety while on the lake.
Mammoth Mountain is a ski resort located in California along the border of Yosemite National Park. My duties here included monitoring the ski-lifts and ensuring the safety of park guests while on the slopes.
