Collborating with the dentist, we are able to create a comprehensive treatment plan that best fits the patient's needs. I am able to provide patient education (oral hygiene/the oral systemic link), cleanings/periodontal treatments and preventive care to those in my community. Laser therapy, GBT, sealants fluoride treatments, curodont, and cervitec are a few other services I provide to my patients. I average around 8-12 patients a day.

My main role was to help assist the 3 hygienist in the office with seating patients, reviewing medical histories, vital signs, x-rays, patient education, polishing, and room turn over/sterilization. I also helped out with the Doctor's schedule doing limited exams, assisting with fillings, crown seats/preps and extractions. I also got the chance to learn the task of the front desk by making confirmation calls, checking patient in/out, insurance breakdowns, and presenting treatment plans.
