The many duties of Bedboard include; placing patients from our own ER into assigned beds that we choose based upon the DX that the current Dr. gives in report, placing patients from many different hospitals into assigned beds based on the DX of their Dr from given report. We also transfer patients to different beds per request at that time. To perform the task of Bedboard, the individual has to be a great multi-tasker and very organized as well as a people person in person as well as over the phone due to the person having the Lead Phone for the night.
