ACTIVITIES

During my time at LTBHS, I advanced from staff nurse to the educator for the facility. While serving as a manager for the adolescent unit, at different times, I was interim manager of the adult CD unit, adult psych/dual unit and the geriatric unit. I worked very closely with the admissions department as well as utilization review. The nature of our facility was focused on interdisciplinary teamwork, and I took that opportunity to learn about all the various departments I worked with. During 2020, due to changes in healthcare and processes, I worked as staffing coordinator and worked with our fiscal accountant to manage nursing payroll. In addition, I worked closely with the CNO with infection control, which included testing employees and patients for COVID, and using corporate and CDC guidelines, determining length of quarantine/seclusion. During a LOA, I covered for the CNO and for a period of time was interim CNO of the facility. JSO and AMSR is part of the training I received at Lincoln Trail as well as training in managing skills. I am currently working on APIC certification as I am now the infection preventionist in addition to my current role.
