In the summer of July i decided to take the jump and opened up for myself. I already had my own clients working in the music scene in London so after Covid I was taking care of many clubs and music studios in London, servicing and replacing faulty equipment. I started sub-contracting for the companies I previously worked for as we always finished on good terms. I started taking on work as a day rate engineer with my 2 guys working alongside me on servicing and installs.

Within the first year, I was taking on projects myself. Meeting with clients, selling, planning and delivering them. One of our main projects we was working on through the years was the decarbonisation of the Screwfix Warehouses, removing the gas fired systems and replacing with Heat pumps throughout the country.

After Year 1 I was working with a partner and we had 4 of us full time, with 3/4 engineers we both worked with closely at previous companies working for us in the evenings and weekends. The partnership ended when he to Bali for a new life. We continued gaining more of our own clients. The Bow arts Charity which has 12 sites accross London, We now take on full sites of David Lloyds for maintenance and breakdowns where I managed the guys to deliver on schedule, recording delaps etc. We do many residential, pubs, smaller hotels and restaurants around Essex and London for installations and PPM's.

My first two years in business have been successful, with Year 1 - 240k turnover w/ 40k net profit and year 2 looking to be 250-300k turnover managing budgets effectively to ensure better use of resources while maintaining financial stability

I have established a culture with my team to have an open communication culture to always voice their opinions and ideas. Collectively a team of ideas are better than 1. Over the last two years I have improved project efficiency with the correct planning, resource allocation and improving time management.

I moved over to Johnson Controls with my manager on the basis of better leadership role and to slowly start coming off the tools. I quickly realized this wasn't the case and I spent my days working on basic AC equipment on maintenance teaching lower level engineers. This made me really uninspired and bored in my professional career so this is what led me onto my next phase..

I was employed at Nationwide as an improver and quickly moved up to Engineer within the first 6 months due to me taking on more responsibilities with the clients and sites. Here my role was purely service-based where we would take care of the full maintenance and breakdowns on sites like David Lloyds Leisure and Radisson & Hilton Hotels. Here is where I started working on more plant like AHUs, chilled water, valves and actuators, heat exchangers alongside all aspects of AC still. At Nationwide I took on the responsibility of relocating to Scotland to help kick start the division up there. Taking care of all the sites noted above until more Engineers were employed. I was unfortunately made redundant due to Covid but when the pandemic finished and I relocated back to London I was contacted to return as a foot mobile engineer across the city. When I relocated back to London I was working more closely with my service manager, running projects with sub-contractors on boiler replacements, replacement of water cylinders in hotels working with the clients myself organizing work schedules, engineers and materials to deliver a project.

My time at Hawkes I spent learning the basics in all aspects of Air conditioning and Refrigeration. Moving between engineers on installations of Splits, Multis,VRV's, Freezers and Cold rooms. Assisted engineers on maintenance and breakdowns. At Hawkes is where I completed my City and Guilds Level 2 in installing and maintaining HVAC systems w/ FGAS.

Adhered to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines during daily work activities.

Learned proper and safe use and maintenance of power tools, hand tools and safety equipment.
