  • As a member of the Georgetown Fire Department, I have had the privilege to serve the fastest growing community in the state. My job tasks have included, but are not limited to, fire suppression, emergency medical services, and lead and adjunct instructor for our department and recruit academy. I have also been privileged to serve as the department lead on our rope rescue cache and response protocols as well as the lead for our departments car seat program, which includes managing training and recertification for our departments 26 technicians.

  • As a member of a 5 man team, we responded as a special operations unit. This company was a part of the Jefferson County Special Operations and was prepared and trained to respond to all technical rescue incidents. We also responded to fire suppression runs. We trained above and beyond the normal standards set forth by the state to be proficient in all areas of our expanded response protocol. This job provided me with the working knowledge of a vast variety of specialized rescue equipment including , but not limited to, rope hardware and software, water rescue equipment, hydraulic extraction tools, and breaching and breaking equipment.
