Work History
Fire Direction Control Specialist
US Army
Fort Campbell North, Kentucky
09.2023 - Current
I worked most of my military career in the 101st Airborne Division Staff. This made me proficient in admin work, handling very tense situations, coding with focus in artificial intelligence, and working with high ranking individuals.
I was the Division Staff's subject matter expert in the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS). I spent much time teaching new soldiers how to utilize the platform and become more proficient on the platform. I began working on the system in depth in order to recommend changes to the contractors to make the platform better. I was also given access to the new U.S. Army Artillery system as a tester.
I worked heavily with Palantir systems. This required me to have a strong knowledge of coding, general software engineering, general IT, and data analytics.
I was deployed to the southern border where I was leading as the Targeting NCO. I was in charge of confirming intelligence, utilizing advanced army systems, working with civilian defense contractors, briefing important information, and supporting the Department of War's mission to protect the continental United States. This position required me to work with several joint partners of other branches, partner agencies, and partner countries. I was awarded 2 Mexican Border Defense Medals from this. This mission challenged me to go above and beyond my job title and seek to learn more about other branches of effects in the United States Army.
With the 101st Airborne Division staff, I participated in several critical training operations and many joint training operations. This taught me resilience, determination, and built my confidence in myself. I worked heavily with the 18th Airborne Corps during these operations and gained knowledge in working with a higher echelon.
I graduated from The Sabalauski Air Assault School's Air Assault qualification course. I obtained my Air Assault Badge from this school.
I have conducted several tactical air assaults when I was on the Division Tactical Team (DTAC). This required a lot of planning and coordination with adjacent units. My team was extremely minimally manned with essential personnel. This created a challenge as it required absolute competence and focus.
Analyzed fire mission data to ensure accurate targeting and effective artillery support.
Coordinated with multiple units to synchronize fire support operations and enhance communication.
Developed standard operating procedures for efficient processing of fire requests and adjustments.
Trained junior personnel on fire direction principles and system operations, fostering team proficiency.
