Provide couplet care to mother and newborn. Provide Antenatal care to high-risk patients experiencing complications of pregnancy, Maternal and newborn assessment, IV insertion and therapy, adult phlebotomy, wound care, lactation education and assistance, admission and discharge education, medication administration, antepartum care and monitoring, charting in electronic medical record. Orient new staff and serve as unit resource for peers.

Provide complete care navigation for screening mammograms, breast biopsies, breast cancer and other abnormalities of breast. Assisted with telephone triage, IV insertion and therapy, adult phlebotomy, port access and administering injections. Set up, assist and provide education for breast biopsies. Breast biopsy coordination including scheduling, education and providing results of biopsy.

Provide antenatal, labor and delivery and postpartum care of low and high-risk patients. Direct care of patients undergoing surgical procedures and post anesthesia recovery care. Assessment and critical thinking skills utilized in fast paced obstetric triage unit. Serve as team leader and charge nurse.

Charge Nurse of Labor and Delivery, Mother and Baby, Newborn Nursery and Antepartum Units. Assess and monitor patient acuity, staffing and resources. Work closely with physicians to oversee flow of all units and manage resources accordingly. Provide delivery support, assist with perinatal loss, staff education and training. Conduct employee performance reviews, chart review, service excellence patient rounds and unit huddles. Assist staff with conflict resolution and communication with obstetric team.

Plan and coordinate Childbirth Education Program. Train, supervise and evaluate performance of childbirth educators. Design and implement educational materials, manage resources and work closely with obstetric and maternal fetal medicine team.

Rotated between Labor and Delivery, Mother and Baby Unit and Antepartum Units to provide direct patient care of low and high-risk patients.

Staff Nurse in Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic serving mostly high risk patients. Worked closely with Maternal fetal Medicine and Gynecology teams.
